Marshals apprehend man wanted in Tucson murder

US Marshals Service personnel apprehended A’mar DeWilliam Heartfield, age 18, on May 5, for the murder of 21-year old Michael Moore. Heartfield was transported and booked into the Pima County Jail for 1 count of First Degree Murder as a result of his involvement in the incident.

On April 29, the Tucson Police Department received several 911 calls from citizens advising that they heard multiple shots being fired in the area of an apartment complex located at 4650 East 29th Street at approximately 5:42 a.m. Upon arrival, the officers located Moore, who was suffering from gunshot trauma, in the parking lot of the complex.

Tucson Fire Department emergency medical personnel also responded to the apartment complex. They transported Mr. Moore to a local hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment of his injuries. Mr. Moore succumbed to his injuries while at the hospital and was pronounced deceased
