Colleen and Jack Pogue welcomed their new baby girl into the word in the parking lot of a Tucson convenience store. The Pogues were on their way to Northwest Medical Center when Colleen’s contractions sped up at left them no choice but a visit to Circle K.
Jack Pogue called 911 and requested that Northwest Fire crews meet them at Twin Peaks. However, in an effort to continue on, they had passed the area, and a second crew of paramedics met them in the Circle K parking lot near Ina and the I-10.
Little Evie was “half way out before paramedics got there,” according to Jack, “they arrived just in time.”
Evie Pogue was born around 6:30 a.m. weighing 6 pounds, and 19 inches long.
