Naked man crashes stolen jeep

Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a naked man, 27-year-old Calvin Forrey, from Prescott after they were dispatched to a campground at Prescott’s Lynx Lake regarding a vehicle theft that just occurred. The reporting party told dispatchers a naked man “on drugs and out of his mind” stole his red Jeep from a campsite.

Within minutes of the initial call, the victim reported hearing his Jeep crash nearby. When deputies arrived in the area they heard Forrey screaming, and eventually located him near Enchanted Forest Road where the Jeep had crashed.

As deputies approached Forrey, his pit bull dog attacked a deputy and the dog was shot and killed. Deputies eventually were able to subdue the uncooperative Forrey suspect with the aid of an electric stun gun and he was taken into custody.

Emergency medical personnel were called and transported Forrey to YRMC in Prescott.

During the course of the investigation, detectives investigating the incident discovered that Forrey had contact with YCSO deputies on June 25, 2012, at his Prescott home. A family member called to request deputies due to Forrey’s disorderly behavior and refusal to leave.

The deputy attacked by the pit bull was bitten. He was treated and expected to fully recover.

Forrey admitted a prior addiction to bath salts; however it is unknown at this time what factors caused Forrey’s behavior.
