The National Insurance Crime Bureau reports that the Phoenix Valley is ranked No. 60 among 366 U.S. metropolitan areas in auto thefts. Car thefts are on the decline in many areas of the state.
Glendale, Surprise and Peoria are the top spots for car thefts. The most popular cars to steal are:

- Toyota Camry
- Ford F250 Series/Pickup

- Ford F350 Series/Pickup
