Video released of foothills burglary

On September 30, 2012 at about 6:22 p.m., deputies from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department responded to an alarm call at a private residence in the Tucson foothills at the 600 block of East Canyon View Drive. Upon arrival, deputies met with the home owner who had also responded.

It was determined that after someone had forced entry into the residence through the front door, they had gone through the homeowner’s belongings; however, it appeared that nothing had been taken. The homeowner then told deputies about a surveillance camera and made the footage from that camera available to investigators.

The video showed a male and a female approaching the foothills residence. Shortly thereafter, the video camera was disconnected. In the footage, the suspects can be observed driving up to the residence in a Toyota FJ Cruiser. It was later determined that vehicle was stolen in a separate incident, which is also being investigated by the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division.

Anyone who can identify the individuals shown in the video or with any other information in this case is asked to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
