Tucson Police find third man in southside shooting

On November 4, 2012 at 6:28 p.m., Tucson Police Department officers from responded to a report of shots heard in the area of 1800 South San Jose Drive. Officers found an adult male inside of a vehicle suffering from gunshot trauma. A second adult male was immediately located in the desert area just west of the vehicle, also suffering from gunshot trauma.

The victim inside the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim found in the desert area was transported to a local area hospital with serious injuries.

Tucson Police received information that one of the individuals involved in the shooting possibly ran into a nearby residence. Officers searched a residence and attempted to make contact without success.

During the course of the investigation, Tucson Police located another adult male victim at approximately 7:45 a.m. on November 5, 2012.

The male was located in a desert area that was in the same vicinity where the shooting incident occurred. Emergency medical personnel from the Tucson Fire Department responded to the area as well. They ultimately transported him to a local hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment. He remains at the hospital in stable condition. At this time, detectives cannot yet confirm that the male located on the morning of November 5, 2012 was involved in the shooting incident. However, due to the fact that he was found in the same vicinity as the other victims, detectives will thoroughly explore his possible involvement in that investigation.

The investigation continues, and detectives request that anyone having information about the incident to please call 911 or 88-Crime.
