1 Pima County crook, 3 vehicles, 5 burglaries

Deputies with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department Burglary Unit are investigating several cases linked to the same suspect. The different incidents happened over the course of two months and resulted in at least three stolen vehicles and five different burglaries. The burglaries alone resulted in stolen property valued at almost $10,000. The suspect was identified as 31-year-old Patrick Joseph Greiwe.

It all began with a break-in to a vehicle on September 17, 2012, where a money bag was taken, but located shortly afterwards. This occurred in the 4100 block of East Bronco Lane. Four days later, on September 21, 2012, Pima County deputies began to investigate a burglary in the 3800 block of East Bowman Place. The homeowner at this location also reported a 2001 Oldsmobile Bravada stolen. Evidence tying Greiwe to the crime was recovered. On the same day, Greiwe apparently broke into a construction business in the 4600 block of North Kain Avenue. A fence and gate were broken at that location. The business owner reported the theft of copper and of a 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck.

The crime spree continued with a burglary investigation on October 4, 2012. In the 3400 block of North Graham Street, the homeowner reported a burglary where credit cards, a purse and a laptop were taken. Jump to October 21, 2012 and to the 16000 block of North Columbus Boulevard where deputies responded to an audible alarm only to find that entry had been forced into the residence; however, it appeared that nothing had been taken due to the activated alarm.

Finally, on November 13, 2012, a burglary occurred in the 4300 block of East Palomino Lane. The victim reported not only his Toyota Supra stolen, but also several large tools from the garage, scuba gear, several computers, a safe and a television. In all these cases, evidence recovered at the scene and witness statements implicate Greiwe as being involved. All attempts to locate and arrest Patrick J. Greiwe have been unsuccessful. Currently, there are three different warrants out for his arrest and Pima County detectives are asking the public for assistance. Anyone with information on Greiwe’s whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
