At 12:24 a.m., on January 20, 2013, deputies with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department responded to a reported vehicle rollover at Artesiano Road and Ina Road. Upon arrival, they found a 4-door sedan on its roof with three juvenile occupants trapped inside. Northwest Fire responded to the scene to assist with the extraction of and medical aid for the occupants.
The two 16-year-old female passengers were transported to University Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver, identified as 16-year-old Julia Ann Good, suffered a fatal injury and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Investigators with the Sheriff’s Traffic Unit responded to the scene. They determined that the passenger car had been driving too fast over dips on Ina Road west of Wade Road and lost control over the vehicle. All vehicle occupants wore their seatbelts. Alcohol did not seem to be a factor in this incident.
