CBP agents seize cocaine worth $237,000

More than 26 pounds of cocaine was seized this week by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Dennis DeConcini Port in Nogales.

Officers referred Lilia Guadalupe Martinie-Munoz, 21, of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, for further inspection of her Chrysler sedan when she attempted to enter the United States. After a CBP narcotics detection canine alerted to the presence of drugs, officers found 10 packages of cocaine in the trunk of the vehicle.

The drugs and vehicle were processed for seizure. Martinie was arrested and faces prosecution on drug charges.
