JTED earns first-time accreditation

The Pima County Joint Technical Education District (JTED) has earned first-time accreditation with the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI).

NCA CASI provides nationally-recognized accreditation for continuous school improvement focused on increasing student performance. Schools must meet NCA CASI standards, be evaluated by a team of professionals from outside the school, and implement an on-going process of school improvement.

“We take great pride in this achievement,” said JTED CEO/Superintendent Alan L. Storm, Ph.D. “Voluntarily going through the accreditation process assures our students, parents and community that our District is committed to raising student achievement by providing the highest quality instruction in the best possible learning environment.”

As an accredited institution, JTED is part of the AdvancED network of over 32,000 schools and systems in over 71 countries. AdvancED is the parent network of NCA CASI. The Pima County JTED is the third out of 13 JTEDs operating in Arizona to earn accreditation.

The Pima County Joint Technical Education District (JTED) offers tuition-free Career and Technical Education Programs to all high school age sophomores, juniors, and seniors, and GED earners who are under 21 years of age, and reside within a member district.
