Pio Decimo Center, 848 S. 7th Ave., Tucson, is hosting extended hours to provide free tax return help in electronically filing both federal and State of Arizona tax returns.
The Pio Decimo Center will be extending its free tax preparation hours on Monday, April 8 and Wednesday, April 10, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Tuesday, April 9, Thursday, April 11 and Friday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Monday, April 15, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., providing free tax help.
Community tax help is available for those who have low to moderate income; seniors; disabled individuals or those who have English as a second language. This site is not able to provide help with business tax returns or complex individual income tax returns.
The tax volunteers at Pio Decimo are trained and tested by the Internal Revenue Service. They can help determine what deductions, credits and allowable expenses you may qualify for. Some tax items, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit can cause or increase a tax refund. Find out if you qualify for this refundable credit by visiting the site.
In addition to providing free tax help, Pio Decimo, is also a Low Income Tax Clinic and is offering free legal tax consultations on April 9th thru April 11th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This can include assistance with levies or garnishments of wages, liens on property, assistance with audit preparation, or determining eligibility for tax credits which have been previously disallowed.
