On May 8, 2013, Gunnar Quick, age 37, was arrested for 1 count of First Degree Murder in relation to an investigation of the death of Darwin Wells on August 27, 2010. The initial investigation regarding the death of Mr. Wells provided little information regarding the motive and suspect related to the incident.
However, in November of 2012, new information was developed and detectives assigned to the Tucson Police Department Homicide Unit were able to re-initiate the investigation. After several months of pursuing the new investigative leads, detectives were able to obtain a warrant for the arrest of Quick.
Personnel from the United States Marshal’s Service assisted with locating and apprehending Quick on the evening of May 8, 2013. He was charged with 1 count of First Degree Murder, a felony offense, pursuant to the arrest warrant. Mr. Quick was transported and booked into the Pima County Jail.
