In 2011, the Oro Valley Police Department responded to the area of Northern and Magee in reference to a road rage incident in which the victim reported leaving a grocery store with two young children when a black Volkswagen cut-off the victim’s vehicle. The driver of the Volkswagen pulled to the side of the roadway and brandished a weapon. The suspect shot and struck the victim’s vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries sustained from shattered glass. There were no other injuries reported in this incident.
On April 18, 2013, OVPD received additional information on this case that lead to the arrest of Gonzales.
