On July 5, 2013 at 6:28 a.m., Tucson Police Department officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision near the intersection of North Country Club Road and East 3rd Street. Upon arrival, officers located a 1986 Toyota pickup truck that collided with a utility pole.
The driver and sole occupant, 46-year old Ken Josephson, was transported to a local area hospital with serious injuries. Mr. Josephson succumbed to his injuries shortly after his arrival.
Detectives determined that the pickup truck was northbound on Country Club Road at 3rd Street. The vehicle drifted across the southbound lanes of Country Club Road, jumped the curb and hit a wooden utility pole on the west side of the street.
