Man shot, killed in south side Tucson

John Drumm, age 32, was shot in an alley on the west side of Sixth Avenue just south of Ajo Way Sunday morning.

Police nearby in the area of Sixth Avenue and Ajo Way heard several gunshots around 7 a.m and began to drive around the area to locate the source of the shooting, according to Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson police spokesman. They found several people in an alley in the 3900 block of South Sixth Avenue and Drumm had a gunshot wound to the neck. Drumm was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to the wounds.

Detectives determined that the victim and another male were behind the business when a vehicle traveled through the parking lot and fired multiple shots. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
