Tucson Chase Bank robber sought

bank robber 1On the morning of August 28, Tucson Police Department officers responded to the Chase Bank located at 2121 West Grant Road in response to a robbery.  The suspect fled from the scene, and there was no one injured during the course of the incident.

Detectives learned that an adult male suspect entered the bank and approached the teller counter. Once at the counter, he presented the teller with a note, which threatened harm and demanded money. After he was given an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect left the bank.

The suspect is described as an African American male, 30 to 40 years of age, 5’8” to 5’10” tall, weighing approximately 180 to 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark athletic shorts with a red accent, a gray t-shirt, dark blue pullover windbreaker with a hood, and white tennis shoes. He also had a mustache.

The photograph of the suspect was obtained from surveillance video footage at the bank. Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to call 911 or 88-Crime.
