On September 13, according to KPBS, “a partisan group of border community residents, activists, and politicians staged their own version of a protest that’s been steadily moving along the border.” Led by Congressman Raúl Grijalva, the group included residents, local businesses, law enforcement and the American Civil Liberties Union.
The ad hoc meeting was held in Nogales and focused on “comprehensive immigration reform.”
