Roger Catalan, age 38, has succumbed to his injuries after being shot on the night of October 7, in the 1200 block of West Ontario Street.
There was indication that at least one of the persons involved in the incident might have had gang affiliations. Detectives from the Tucson Police Department Gang Investigations Unit responded as the primary investigative unit. The investigation indicated that an unknown number of individuals engaged in an altercation outside of a residence in the 1200 block of West Ontario Street.
The confrontation escalated and shots were fired. The reasons relating to the cause of the altercation, as well as information pertaining to the persons involved in the incident, remain under investigation.
Detectives request that anyone having information about the incident, suspect(s), or motive(s) relating to this investigation to please call 911 or 88-Crime.
