Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik has yet to miss an opportunity to assist the Obama administration in ramping up emotions for his political agenda, and the government shut down is yet another opportunity.
The Obama administration ordered all federal parks to be closed to the public last week, including Pima County’s Sabino Canyon, and one National Park ranger admitted that they were told “to make life as difficult for people as we can.”
As a result, the Pima County Sheriff has sent out a friendly reminder to County residents and visitors: “The United States National Park Service and the United States Forest Service have closed many parks, including Pima County’s Sabino Canyon. The trails are still open for the enjoyment of the public; however, the parking lot, visitor’s center, and restrooms are closed. The Sheriff’s Department wants to remind people to obey the “No Parking” signs along Sabino Canyon Road. Citations will be issued to all vehicles that are illegally parked.”
