Man identified victim in Tucson gang shooting

tucson policeThe man who was killed on the night of October 16 has been identified as 28-year-old Brandon Luster. Detectives from the Gang Investigations Unit continue working to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting death of Luster.

On October 16, Tucson Police officers responded to a report of shots fired at an apartment complex located in the 2500 block of North Fontana Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located Luster in the parking lot with gunshot trauma. He was transported to a local area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after his arrival. Officers on scene determined that one or more of the individuals involved had gang affiliations.

At this time, the suspect is still outstanding, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.
