Three Tucson girls claim they were kept hostage by stepfather, mother

Tucson Police responded to call at about 4:02 a.m. in the 2800 block of North Estrella. When police arrived they found two girls ages 12 and 13, who alleged that their stepfather was threatening them with a knife.

They had reportedly escaped the family home through a window and made their way to a neighbor’s home. They girls banged on the neighbor’s door. He allowed them in and called 911 for them.

The police went to the girls’ home and found another female age 17 in the same condition. All three said they had not bathed in several months and the two younger girls had not seen the elder teen in almost two years.

Police are at the home collecting evidence. Police would not share any more information. The investigation is ongoing.
