Single vehicle accident takes life of Kirkland resident

On the afternoon of February 27, 2014, Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a single vehicle accident on Date Creek Road about 12 miles from Highway 89, just outside Congress, Arizona. Upon arrival, deputies found a man, identified as 53-year-old William Randall from Kirkland, trapped under a white 1988 Ford Ranger pick-up resting on its side.

Congress Fire personnel were on scene and determined Mr. Randall had died.

Initial investigation indicates speed was a possible factor in the accident. Deputies also determined Randall was not wearing his seat belt when ejected from the pick-up.

The accident remains under investigation and cause of death is pending Medical Examiner findings.
