The Pima County Sheriff’s Department Traffic Unit is investigating a hit-and-run where an 8-year-old boy was hit by a vehicle while riding his bike. The boy was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The boy was wearing a helmet and may have been riding in the crosswalk. The intersection of Shannon Road and Curtis Road will be closed while deputies investigate. Currently, there is no description of the suspect or suspect vehicle that fled the scene.
