Many of them heard the stories of the federal government’s systematic abuse from their friend; Catherine Engelbrecht, the founder of True the Vote. In response to revelations last week of the true extent of the government’s actions, the Pima County Tea Party Patriots, Americans for Prosperity and Pima County Election Integrity, an affiliate of True The Vote, will be holding a flash rally at the IRS building in downtown Tucson.
This event will occur on Tax Day, Tuesday, April 15th, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
“If “We The People” do not act now, the IRS will continue to be used as the enforcement arm of the Obama administration. We must stop these Gestapo tactics before we find ourselves silenced by political elites,” write organizers. “Please make your voice be heard while you still have freedom of speech.”
The Tucson Internal Revenue Service (IRS) building is located on the Northeast corner of Congress St. and Granada Ave. Participants will be on the sidewalk on Congress Street in front of the IRS building. Organizers ask that participants do not get any closer to the IRS building than the line of palm trees at the main entrance.
Parking can be found at the Arizona State building’s parking garage on the north side of Congress St. west of Granada. The entrance to the garage is off of Manning House Way.
