ADOT to auction off snow plows, cars, equipment

If you’re in the market for a used pickup truck, sedan or maybe even an office trailer, it might be worth your time to check out the Arizona Department of Transportation’s spring auction on April 19 in Phoenix.

ADOT will be auctioning vehicles, including 51 sedans and pickups, as well as three snowplows and other surplus equipment that has been replaced over time. Potential bidders are encouraged to inspect the equipment in advance during any of three pre-auction inspection days: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday through Friday (April 16-18).

The ADOT Used Equipment Auction is scheduled as follows:

When: Saturday, April 19 (Gates open at 6 a.m. – bidding starts promptly at 8 a.m.)

Where: ADOT Equipment Services Auction Yard
2350 S. 22nd Ave., Phoenix 85009

Additional equipment to be auctioned includes dump trucks, air compressors, arrow boards and assorted construction equipment.

To avoid a possible line for registering on the day of the auction, potential bidders can register ahead of time on the Wednesday through Friday pre-auction inspection days. All potential bidders must pre-register in person. Bidders will still have the option to register on Saturday when the auction yard gates open.

The ADOT vehicles and equipment will be sold on an “as-is, where-is” basis. More information about the auction, including an item list, is available at azdot.gov/business/EquipmentServices/adot-auction.
