Few closures in the Phoenix area this weekend

adotFreeway-improvement projects in the Phoenix area will require a few closures in the Phoenix area this weekend (April 18-21). The Arizona Department of Transportation recommends travelers allow extra time and consider alternate routes while the following restrictions are in place:

Northbound Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) closed between Northern and Olive avenues in Peoria from 10 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday (April 19) for traffic-technology project. DETOUR: Northbound freeway traffic can detour along 91st and 99th avenues.

Northbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Olive and Grand/91st avenues closed overnight from 10 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday (April 20) for traffic-technology project. DETOUR: Consider using northbound on-ramps at Peoria Avenue or Thunderbird Road. Consider using southbound on-ramps at Grand or Peoria avenues.

Northbound Loop 303 closed between McDowell and Indian School roads in Goodyear from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Sunday (April 20) for rubberized-asphalt paving. DETOUR: Please use alternate routes, including northbound Citrus Road.

Westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) closed between Hawes and Power roads in Mesa from 11 p.m. Friday to 9 p.m. Saturday (April 19) for work on future State Route 24 interchange. DETOUR: Westbound freeway traffic will detour along westbound Ray Road and reconnect with Loop 202 at Power Road. Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport traffic will be directed to Loop 202 WB via Power Road.
