Despite having been arrested several times in the last ten months and enduring a court ordered 30 day stay in a mental health facility, a 16 year old suspect in Canada threatened the life of Sheriff Joe Arpaio – again.
The teen, from Alberta, Canada, was arrested and jailed yesterday after the Sheriff received a seventh threat via the internet and was remanded into custody until he goes to court on May 8th to face charges.
Despite the fact that the teen is currently awaiting sentencing for his previous threats, he was brazen enough to send another email yesterday saying, “Sheriff Joe, you are a fucking total Jackass. I can’t wait to take my knife and stab you 50 times in the chest. Then after words I’m going to slit your throat and throw your body in a dumpster which I will light on fire. You old asshole, you will die for your actions. As if that wasn’t enough… you poor son of a fucking bitch you better believe I’m going to be your worst nightmare. And I ain’t gotta worry about one godamn thing because they’ll never extradite me to your shithole, and the authorities down here are too cowardly to do anything about it.”
The Sheriff also worries about the potential danger that citizens of Canada face by this individual.
“He not only appears to be very unstable mentally but he constantly warns of his desire to commit violence,” Arpaio says, “This suspect is a ticking time bomb. My patience is running thin. If I have to return to Canada again to testify, I will in order to aid in the prosecution of this menace.”
The Sheriff is also concerned about the threats to his family such as the one made in July 2013. The teen said he would murder Arpaio and his family and bomb his house. The second threat was in October, 2013. In that threat, the suspect promised to open fire on the Sheriff and his wife and make sure the Sheriff simply ‘vanishes.”
This isn’t the first person from Canada to threaten to kill Sheriff Arpaio.
Thirty-seven year old Matthew Carl Sanderson was previously arrested by Toronto Police. Sanderson said he would kill Arpaio with “a bullet in the head or heart, poison him, blow up his car or burn him alive.” Sheriff Arpaio traveled to Canada in 2007 and testified in court during the prosecution of that case where Sanderson
was found guilty.
