Southside stabbing leaves one dead and another in custody

5-16-PimaOn May 16, 2014, at approximately 10:55 a.m., Pima County deputies responded to a stabbing in the 8500 block of South Craycroft Road. When deputies arrived, the victim, 38-year-old Grant Lee Wright, was receiving life saving measures from friends until an ambulance could arrive. Mr. Wright was pronounced deceased prior to being transported to the hospital.

Deputies immediately began searching for the suspect, 37-year-old Charles Foster, who was reported to be in the area. After a short search, deputies located Foster and took him into custody.

Detectives learned that Wright and Foster were involved in a confrontation over unknown property. Mr. Foster was transported to the Pima County Adult Detention Center and booked on one count of First Degree Murder.
