Douglas Station agents working east of town, responded to reports of suspected smuggling activity and subsequently located a flatbed truck driving alongside the international boundary fence. Agents attempted to make contact with the driver but the vehicle came to a sudden halt and two subjects were observed fleeing south into Mexico. Agents then searched the fake U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service vehicle and found it loaded with bundles of marijuana in various hidden compartments.
The vehicle and drugs were processed for seizure in accordance with Tucson Sector guidelines.
