On Saturday July 12, 2014, at approximately 5:50 p.m., Pima County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 300 block of North Cape Royal Drive reference an unknown problem.
Deputies arrived six minutes after the initial 9-1-1 call and found a deceased male and female inside the home with obvious signs of trauma an apparent murder suicide. The Sheriff’s Department Homicide Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation.
Based on preliminary evidence, it is believed that the male killed the female (his wife) and then committed suicide.
The names of the deceased are being withheld until next of kin can be notified.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with further information regarding this incident is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
