Two young children avoided gunfire during a store robbery in Phoenix on July 26, 2014. Phoenix Police are asking for the public’s assistance is identifying to robber.
At about noon, one of the co-owners of the neighborhood market on the corner of Montezuma and Alta Vista was working the counter as the clerk when he was robbed at gunpoint. As the suspect was leaving, the victim and the suspect exchanged gunfire. Neither the clerk nor two young children, ages 10 and 11, who were customers in the store when this incident happened were injured.
Police do not believe the suspect was struck either.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20’s, 5’7” to 5’8”, 140-150 lbs., with short cut hair.
