I’m supporting Steve Smith for re-election to the State Senate because he has a strong record of service for our district and our state.
I make this case because:
● Steve is known as Arizona’s toughest legislator when it comes to securing the border. He and I worked together this past year on legislation that toughened our laws against human smuggling traffickers to fix a problem I see everyday in our court system (the House and Senate passed the bill overwhelmingly but unfortunately and to the shock and dismay of many, the Governor vetoed it).
● Steve is a friend to law enforcement and to our Second Amendment rights. He is endorsed by Sheriffs Joe Arpaio and Paul Babeu, the Arizona Police Association, and is A+ rated by the NRA to name a few. His support of our law enforcement officers encourages me when I go to work everyday knowing we have someone like Steve on our side.
● Steve supports ‘we the taxpayers’. Our state was facing billion dollar plus deficits when Steve arrived to the Senate and he helped turn the deficit into a balanced budget with a sizeable surplus. Because of efforts like this, he was named ‘Champion of the Taxpayer’ by the national organization Americans for Prosperity.
● Steve’s conservative leadership is now more than every what our state needs. He is ranked as the #1 conservative legislator in all of Arizona by the top scorecards which means in addition to the points above, he led the fight against ObamaCare and Common Core, has introduced meaningful reforms to better our education system, protects our small businesses (which got him named ‘Guardian of Small Business’ by NFIB) and has been a champion in defending life, traditional family, and religious freedom.
For these reasons and many more I ask that you stand with me to support Steve Smith for his re-election to the State Senate, he gets my vote!
