Los Descendientes del Precidio de Tucson are exploring the possibility of restarting the Fiesta of San Agustín in conjunction with Tucson’s Birthday Celebrations. San Agustín is the patron saint of Tucson and St. Augustine Cathedral.
This year on August 30th, Los Desendientes will participate at the 5:30 p.m. Cathedral Mass by carrying an image of San Agustín in a procession. There will also be the ritual ringing of the 1807 Presidio Bell dedicated to the Virgen de Guadalupe as part of the procession.
