On Tuesday August 26, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. the Rio Nuevo District Board will meet to consider the proposals for the Arena Site:
Arena Site RFP – Possible Action(s)
Discussion and possible action by the Board of Directors related to the Final List under the Arena Site RFP, including:
a) Possible motion to proceed with negotiations with the #1 ranked proposer on the Arena Site RFP Final List; or
b) Possible motion to terminate the Arena Site RFP.
6) Arena Site – Possible ActionDiscussion and possible action by the Board of Directors, in the event the Board takes action to terminate the Arena Site RFP, directing staff and Board members on next steps related to the possible sale, lease or development of the Arena Site.
After spreading lies about one watchdog member of the Board, and sending out emails to various groups enlisting their members to show up in support for their latest debacle and shenanigans, the Board will discuss and vote on do what to do next. Oh, the suspense!
When Arizona Speaker of the House Andy Tobin had an opportunity to clean up Rio Nuevo – he did nothing. Now, the residents of Tucson will probably pay for his inaction. But hey, if the car dealer guy is happy with the makeup of the Board, then the rest of us should be too!
