The Pima Community College football program and Tucson Electric Power have teamed up to select a student/athlete every week to be named the TEP AZTEC Power Player of the Week and this week it is freshman quarterback Rasheem Parks.
Parks was chosen this week after he played the final two-and-a-half quarters of Saturday’s game. He went 17 for 31 with 205 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions in Pima’s 36-20 loss against Mesa Community College at the Kino Sports Complex (FC Tucson Stadium).
The selection for TEP AZTEC Power Player of the Week will be made every Monday after a Pima football game.
The Aztecs have a bye this week so there will be no selection for next Monday. They will play at Arizona Western College in Yuma on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 7:00 p.m.
