On Saturday September 20, 2014 at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office was advised of a 25 year old male subject who was unresponsive at an address in the 8400 block of Parra Lane in Hereford.
The caller advised that she went to the address at approximately 6:25 pm to make contact with her 25 year old son Andrew Vincent Gasson whom she had not heard from for the past few days.
The woman said that when she arrived at the home, the front gate and front door were open and her son was on the floor and unresponsive prompting her to call for help. Sheriff’s Deputies and medical personnel arrived on scene and determined that the 25 year old was deceased.
Sheriff Detectives were assigned to this case due to some evidence located at the scene indicating a possible physical altercation and the condition on the body. There was no evidence of forced entry to the home.
An autopsy was completed by the Pima County Medical Examiners Office on Tuesday afternoon which indicated that the victim suffered from a gunshot wound to the head.
