Nogales CBP Officers Seize $2.96M in Marijuana

A Customs and Border Patrol Officer discovered the $2.96 million worth of marijuana in a tractor-trailer driven by a 39-year-old man from Nogales, Sonora, Mexico after a CBP narcotic-detection canine alerted to the trailer.

Officers seized the vehicle and drugs, and referred the subject to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.

In a similar incident on Oct. 24, officers seized nearly 4,700 pounds of marijuana worth $2.3 million and co-mingled with electrical components.
