Scottsdale’s “Super Season” launches this weekend with Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction

The opportunity to view some of the world’s most coveted cars kicks off Scottsdale’s “Super Season” this weekend.
The Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction opens Saturday, Jan. 10, for a nine-day run at WestWorld, Scottsdale’s special events center at 16601 N. Pima Road.
The auction begins a remarkable month of events in Scottsdale and the Valley, culminating in the Super Bowl Feb. 1 in Glendale. Many of the events tied to the NFL championship are taking place in Scottsdale – adding pizzazz to an already full calendar of acclaimed seasonal events.
Information on both Scottsdale’s seasonal and Super Bowl-related events is below. There are a number of ways residents and visitors can learn about activities and get traffic information:

Scottsdale’s free trolley service is a great way to travel to events and activities. Several trolley routes work together to connect resort corridors, special event locations and the downtown shopping and entertainment districts.

Hashknife Pony Express to make “super” delivery
An enduring Old West tradition meets a modern American spectacle Jan. 30, when Arizona’s Hashknife Pony Express delivers the mail in Scottsdale.
To celebrate the Super Bowl, Hashknife riders have rustled up a unique celebration once they deliver the mail at high noon on Scottsdale’s Waterfront. The free, family-friendly event will feature interactive, Western-themed children’s activities and Hashknife riders will sign gear and answer questions.
