Just after noon on January 14, 2015 officers from the Glendale Police Department and paramedics from the Glendale Fire Department responded to an area near the University of Phoenix Stadium after reports of a workplace injury. A 31-year old male employee was found to have fallen from a structure under construction located in private property.
He suffered serious injuries, was treated on-scene and transported to a local hospital. He was later declared deceased at that hospital. Per standard protocol, detectives from the Glendale Police Department responded to the scene.
According to authorities, this appears to have been a workplace accident, without any criminal aspect, and the Industrial Commission of Arizona will conduct the formal investigation.
