The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office continues to encourage calls regarding the tragic hit and run incident occurring during the early morning hours of December 22, 2014, in the Prescott Country Club, Dewey. 70-year-old Joyce Erickson was struck by a vehicle and killed as she walked along Old Chisholm Trail on that morning.
Since the incident, YCSO has received quite a few calls suggesting possible leads. Each bit of information has been investigated but so far the reports have not provided any evidence identifying a suspect or suspect vehicle.
Yavapai Silent Witness continues to offer a $1000 reward to anyone who calls 1800-932-3232 and provides a tip leading to the arrest of a suspect in this case. Callers to Silent Witness never have to give their name. Even if you think the information is insignificant, it could be the link detectives need to move this case forward and identify the responsible party.
