U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers assigned to the Port of Douglas arrested a 26-year-old woman from Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico on Feb. 9 after finding 470 pounds of marijuana concealed throughout her Ford SUV.CBP officers at the Port of Douglas seized 349 packages of marijuana from a smuggling vehicle, including numerous packages underneath the hood.
Officers used a CBP narcotics detection canine to alert them to 349 packages of marijuana, worth nearly $235,000. They seized the drugs and vehicle. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations took custody of the subject.
