An arrest of Caleb Diaz has been made in the sexual assault incident that occurred at the Santa Cruz River Park.
Detectives from the Tucson Police Department’s Adult Sexual Assault Unit have been continually investigating this incident since last Tuesday. During the initial investigation, physical evidence was collected and analyzed. That information led detectives to the 23-year-old Diaz.
On February 13, 2015, detectives learned that Diaz had been booked into the Pima County Jail the previous day, reference an unrelated warrant. Detectives responded to the jail and interviewed Diaz. Based on information obtained during the investigation, and the physical evidence collected, detectives arrested Diaz for sexual assault and kidnapping.
