The Florence Police Department is asking for the community’s help with information regarding a hit-and-run fatality involving a pedestrian.
On Thursday, February 19, 2015 at approximately 8:30 p.m. a deceased male subject was discovered on the North side of Hunt Highway/Poston Butte Loop in the Town of Florence, AZ. It has been determined that the pedestrian was walking on the North side of Hunt Highway when he was struck by a vehicle traveling West bound on Hunt Highway.
At this time it is believed that the suspect vehicle is a 1997 or newer model Jeep TJ convertible unknown color. The hit-and-run vehicle would have sustained heavy front end and passenger side damage; along with passenger side windshield damage due to the collision.
