TUCSON, Ariz. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers assigned to the Port of Douglas arrested Angel David Martinez-Miranda, 19, of Agua Prieta, Sonora, who’s car battery was found to be filled with meth, when officers opened it for further inspection Six packages of meth are removed from a vehicle battery by CBP officers at the Port of Douglas Mexico, on March 2 after discovering almost 4 pounds of methamphetamine concealed in his truck’s battery.
Officers seized the meth, worth nearly $11,000, and the vehicle. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations took custody of Martinez.
