On Thursday, April 9, after an investigation lasting several weeks, detectives from the DPS Cochise/Graham/Greenlee County Narcotics Unit, and from the Graham County Narcotics Task Force, served a search warrant on a residence in the Safford area. During the service, detectives seized 42.1 grams of methamphetamine, 1 gram of marijuana, and narcotic pills. Detectives also seized 14 weapons, three of which had been reported as stolen, along with $4,971 in cash.

Stephen Hensel, 30, from Safford, was arrested and booked into the Graham County Jail on multiple drug and stolen property charges.

The success of this investigation is a true testament to the fine collective work of the detectives which comprise the DPS Cochise/Graham/Greenlee County Narcotics Unit, the multi-agency Graham County Narcotics Task Force, and the Arizona Vehicle Theft Task Force.
