Cochise County drug dealers nabbed

On Tuesday April 28, 2015 members of the Cochise County Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) along with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents from the Sierra Vista office, and the members of the Southeastern Arizona Border Region Enforcement (SABRE) team with deputies from the Sheriff’s Office and agents from Border Patrol served a search warrant on a residence in the 2000 block of North Washington Street in Presidential Estates.

The warrant was served after a month long investigation between the Narcotics Enforcement Team and Drug Enforcement Administration, and resulted in three vehicles being seized for forfeiture, narcotics being seized, and four arrests made.

The four subjects arrested are: Carl Schaffnit (45), Elisha Gagnier (37), John Relford (52), and Leslie Relford (48) and all four remain in custody as of today.

The charges for the arrested subjects are as follow:

Schaffnit: Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Dangerous Drugs x 2 / Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale x2 / Transportation of Dangerous Drugs x2 / Possession of Narcotic Drugs x2 / Possession of Narcotics Drugs for Sale x2 / Possession of Chemicals to Manufacture Narcotics x2 / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia x 2. There is a $500,000 bond for this subject.

Gagnier: Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Dangerous Drugs x2 / Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale / Transportation of Dangerous Drugs / Possession of Narcotics Drugs / Possession of Narcotic Drugs for Sale / Transportation of Narcotic Drugs / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. There is a $20,000 bond on this subject.
