On June 7, 2015 Guadalupe Fire crews worked successfully to hold and secure existing perimeter fire lines. The Total consumed area is approximately 5,900 acres with only 7% growth in the last 24 hours.
The fire line will be improved and held during the upcoming weather, according to authorities.
Fire managers report that there have only been two minor injuries reported over the course of five days with 296 personnel assigned to the incident.
Authorities anticipate that the demobilization of some crews will begin in the comming days. Fire crews and equipment are still working in and around the fire area.
