Video West Prepares For Growth

Phoenix-based video and imaging solutions company Video West recently broke ground on their new 40,000 square foot facility in Phoenix.

Currently operating from a 20,000 facility based in Tempe, Video West employs 62 full-time staff, a fleet of trucks, and more electronics than most companies would be able to manage.

“It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come and what this little company has done,” said owner Jack Waitkus.

“We are excited to have Video West move their operations to Phoenix,” said District 6 Councilman Sal DiCiccio. “Their expansion shows the work we have done to make Phoenix one of the easiest cities in the country to start or expand a business is paying real dividends in growing our city’s economy.”

Video West, Inc. started in Tucson in 1982 by Jack Waitkus to provide video and imaging solutions for the live corporate and special events industry. Since then Video West has grown to provide complete audio, video, and staging solutions for clients around the world.

Video West provides the latest immersive experience technology for high definition projection, LED wall technology, fiber-optic signal flow, broadcast switching, digital sound, and intelligent lighting for some of the largest events in the world. Projects have included the PGA Tour, Super Bowl, White House, NATO, G8 Summit, and local organizations Arizona State University and American Express. This month alone, equipment and personnel will be supporting events in Las Vegas, Denver, Washington, DC, Kenya, and South Africa just to name a few.

Located on 2.7 acres on 52nd Street near McDowell, the new facility is just south of On Semiconductor and Compound Photonics.

Construction is expected to be completed by first quarter 2016. For more information about Video West, visit www.videowestinc.com.
