Adrienne Salinas Death Investigation Remains Active

On Father’s Day, June 16, 2013, 19 year old Adrienne Salinas was reported missing from her Tempe townhome by her father. Adrienne’s wrecked and abandoned vehicle was located soon after, and the subsequent investigation involved virtually every resource of the Tempe Police Department over the following weeks and months.

Tempe Police coordinated multiple large scale searches and canvasses in the Tempe neighborhood where Adrienne lived, along Tempe Town Lake, and the Apache Junction neighborhood and surrounding desert washes where her remains were discovered near Highway 88 and Lost Dutchman’s Boulevard on August 6, 2013.

According to Tempe Police, these searches required the collective effort of the entire Tempe Police Department, and the resources of partner agencies, including the FBI’s Violent Crime Squad, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Phoenix Police Department and the Apache Junction Police Department. The case team has conducted over 500 interviews, investigated hundreds of leads and continues the investigative effort in the pursuit of justice for Adrienne.

Detectives have remained in close contact with Adrienne’s family over the past two years, according to Tempe Police. Authorities want Adrienne’s friends, family and the community to know that this investigation remains open and active. A cash reward is available for information leading to the arrest/indictment of the suspect(s).
