Recently the Midvale Park Neighborhood Association reported an increase in graffiti of the moniker REPO in their neighborhood. An officer identified the suspect, 19-year-old Gabriel Martinez, who lived in the Midvale Park area and learned additional monikers of REPO, REPOH and REPOE that he also used.
The officer was able to determine that over $16,000 worth of graffiti damage caused by Martinez had been cleaned through the City of Tucson and Pima County contract with Graffiti Protective Coatings (GPC) from November 11, 2012 to May 21, 2015.
Today, officers from Operations Division South located the vandal. Martinez was arrested and booked into the Pima County Jail for Felony Aggravated Criminal Damage.
